Battledown Centre for Children and Families
Celebration Day on Thursday, 25th March 2010
10.15 am to 2.45pm

We are holding an open day to mark 20 years since we first opened our doors in September 1990 and we are also celebrating our success since 25th March 2005 (five years to the day) when, after a long four year battle by special schools against closure, it was declared that Battledown was saved and would remain open.

  • Everyone is very welcome – at any time between 10.15 am to 2.45 pm

  • Come and see where we are, what we do and talk to the staff

  • See how the children are celebrating the day – each class will have a celebration theme

  • Visitors are welcome to join our guided tours and learn what we do

  • Listen to St. Edwards Junior School Choir performing for our children at 2.15pm

  • Take part in our balloon race – you may win a cash prize for the balloon travelling the longest distance (tickets available from school reception).

  • Race due to start at 2.45 pm

  • Enjoy some refreshments with us

  • We would love to see you on the day
