Child Development Centre

The Child Development Centre (CDC) is situated at the Battledown Centre for Children and Families in Cheltenham.

The CDC offers holistic and integrated specialist early years provision for children aged between birth and two. The sessions are varied so that families have flexibility to combine their other commitments with visits to the CDC. All sessions reflect good practice guidance from health service professionals and activities are planned in conjunction with this.

The sessions are offered to children and their parents/carers to enable staff to assess need and agree individual learning plans which are then delivered through the sessions and by the families at home. Therapists and Paediatricians make regular visits to the groups. The activities include time for fun, messy play, singing as well as ideas for developmental games. We have the benefit of a sensory room, a newly designed outdoor playground, a wide range of specialist toys and positioning equipment.

Referrals to the CDC are made using the referral criteria. Parents/carers are also welcome to contact us directly.
