Early Start Group
The Early Start Group is specifically for parents/carers of babies under one year old and is also held in the Battledown Child Development Centre on Tuesday afternoons during term time.
The group is designed to promote attachment and support for parents/carers of babies who have had a difficult start. We work closely with our colleagues around the County who also offer Early Start Groups.
The EY SEN Service has a safeguarding policy, and all staff are trained to follow Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children's Board child protection procedures. We also have a policy that emphasises the need for children and parents to be respected and listened to.
Who is included:
- Families with babies under 1 year old who need specialist support.
- Babies who have had a difficult start in life.
- Babies and children on Portage waiting list.
Where Do We Meet?
We offer drop-in sessions, on a weekly basis at venues across the county.
