Parent Information

During the current COVID19 climate, to ensure we are committed to our duty of care to all children, we will be:-

  • Making weekly phone calls to all families, both from the class teacher and the Family worker. These will be logged and action points raised where necessary.
  • Any concerns that are raised from these phone calls will be acted on immediately and appropriately following the normal guidelines and at the discretion of the DSL/Head teacher
  • We will ensure that there is a DSL available at all times should anyone have any concerns.
  • A DSL/ responsible person will have access to all children’s files.
  • Class teachers, Family worker and the Head teacher will look at each case independently and make decisions to help situations that may arise.
  • Doorstep home visits will be in place weekly for children who are on a child in need/ child protection plan. More frequently if any cause for concern.
  • All normal child protection and monitoring of children’s safety will continue

Online Safety

Young people will be using the internet more during this period. The school may also use online approaches to deliver training or support. Staff will be aware of the signs and signals of cyberbullying and other risks online and apply the same child-centred safeguarding practices as when children were learning at the school.
