Battledown Centre for Children are looking to appoint an Assistant Head who will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and lead on Quality of Education. In carrying out the professional duties of a member of the Senior Leadership Team, he/she will support all the staff of the school across the age phases and liaise with a wide range of professionals within the Local Authority, health service and voluntary sector as appropriate.

An Assistant Head is required to lead the implementation of new school development initiatives working alongside the Headteacher. There will be an allocated teaching commitment of 3 days per week.

At Battledown we have several volunteers who help children to play and learn in class and at activities such as Riding, swimming and Forest School.

All volunteers receive basic training on how we work at Battledown and additional training that is specific to the children they work with. This is an opportunity for you to meet new people and share your skills with others.
